Rumours have flooded the internet today about the possibility of a Titanfall beta beginning in February.
The initial excitement came from France where website Xboxygen were sent images of posters that were displayed at a French retailer. This echoes the way that the recently announced Call of Duty Ghosts DLC, Onslaught, was first revealed, with another poster at a retail store.
While no official announcement has yet been made, Respawn’s co-founder Vince Zampella has released a teaser statement through Twitter, he said –
“Yes, we will have an announcement soon. I’m sure no one can guess what it will be…”
Respawn have recently completed an Alpha test where invites were sent out to select people through emails. Beta testing would allow Respawn to stress test their servers and iron out any final problems that may arise in the game, not to mention giving a much larger set of players a chance to try out the game before its official launch. Reports so far suggest that the beta invites will go out exclusively to those that pre-order the game through selected retailers. We will of course bring you any official announcements and details as soon as they are released.
Titanfall is due for release on March 11th for Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
