Ubisoft has revealed Battles of Kyrat, Far Cry 4’s new 5v5 multiplayer mode.
During a battle you can be one of two factions: Pagan Min’s elite Rakshasa guard and the Golden Path rebels. Both of the factions each have their own unique skills and weapons.
Rakshasa summon animals to attack their enemies, and they ride elephants. Yep. That’s right. They ride elephants. They can also use a bow and arrow. An additional skill they possess is being able to hide unseen in undergrowth.
When you play as the Golden Path you get a variety of guns and armoured vehicles, as well as bell towers to mark enemies from a distance.
Matches will last roughly 20 minutes, and 10 maps will be available at launch. Three modes will be available: Outpost – where teams run to secure a command point, Propganda – where one team has to destroy three installations that the other team protects, and Demon Mask, which sounds similar to Capture the Flag.
This will mark the first time, since the classic Predator mode, that a Far Cry game has included PVP multiplayer.
