In what is becoming a regular event now across the gaming industry, yet another title has been delayed for quality reasons – The Evil Within. Originally marked down for a European release date of August 29th, Bethesda have today announced that The Evil Within has been delayed by two months, with a new date of October 24th. Shinji Mikami and his team apparently asked for the extra time so that they have a little longer to polish and refine the game and (supposedly) make it as terrifying as possible.
In an attempt to show off just how scary and gruesome the game is, Bethesda have also released a new trailer today with footage from some of the many play-testers as they play through the game and recording their reactions.
The revised release date also comes with a new pre-order incentive pack containing various in-game items. Called the Fighting Chance Pack, this group of items appear to be quite a serious helping hand for players and possibly makes the game easier, which seems a little strange for a game that has always been announced as the title that will bring back proper survival horror
