Bandai Namco have not currently released a statement as to why the DLC has been delayed, but its safe to assume that developers From Software have the last few kinks to iron out before it’s ready for release. Though the delay is only a week away, its still causing some frustration for many fans who are anticipating the final chapter in the Lost Crowns series.
Overall, the DLC’s released for Dark Souls 2 have been widely praised for having a more interesting and well developed level design than any of the areas of the main game, and also bringing in a more intensive difficulty level. With all three of the DLC’s combined, it provides longer gameplay and a larger world than we saw in the original Dark Souls expansion of Artorias of the Abyss.
