“You will bring death to all who follow you”
A new trailer has been launched for one of 2015’s most eagerly-awaited licenced games, Batman: Arkham Knight.
Setting the tone for some of the game’s backstory, mixing beautiful cut-scene imagary with brute-force violence (which is why we love Batman, right?), the bleak trailer leads with Batman on the receiving end of quite a beating, before later taking down thugs with Nightwing, Robin, and Catwoman in some joyful dual/co-op manoeuvres.
This feature is described as part of a dual-play mechanism announced by WB Games, enabling the player to “switch seamlessly” between Batman and his allies during bouts of “free-flow combat”.
I for one can’t wait until the dark days are here (June 23rd 2015, for PS4, Xbox One and PC) and we can report exactly how this game plays out. In the meantime, the fires are raging, and Gotham is burning…
