If you’re anything like me, you’ve been baffled, bewildered and mesmerized by some of the jaw-dropping levels people have constructed in Super Mario Maker. From the deviously difficult to the clean, clear classic Mario gameplay of yore, Course World is brimming with bright colors belying traps, tricks, and Koopa Troopas.
I’d like to see what you’ve created! In the comments below, reply with the level code to your most popular level in Super Mario Maker, namely the one with the most Stars in the rating system. If you could, please include the level’s title and a brief description of what you were ‘going for’ when you designed the level. Any additional comments are welcome, but let’s try to keep it succinct for the sake of ease of scrolling.
I’ll get the ball rolling by sharing my most popular level, Bowser’s Boiler Room.
NAME: Bowser’s Boiler Room
SUMMARY: Watch out for sneaky traps as you make your way through Bowser’s Castle.
NOTE: It’s hard to know what will make for a popular Super Mario Maker level. It seems this one has the best balance of fun and challenges. Some players claim to love the extremely difficult ‘Kaizo’ style levels, but my difficult levels tend to be unpopular. I have been trying (in vain) to recapture the style of this level with my more recent ones, but I tend to get distracted by making absurd challenges.
Please use the comments section below to share your thoughts on Bowser’s Boiler Room. And don’t forget to reply with your own most popular level!
(If you’d like to find more interesting levels from dedicated creators, I recommend checking out the Mario Maker subreddit found here. In addition to being a fun place to share levels, the subreddit also has detailed information about how to easily upload HD screenshots of your Mario Maker levels directly from your WiiU to imgur! Pretty neat, right?)
