Nintendo has released 10 new screenshots for their upcoming platformer Yoshi’s Woolly World. The screenshots show us some new things the game has to offer as well as some gorgeous yarn visuals.
We can see that Yoshi has new transformations at his disposal. An Umbrella, which looks like it allows him to float gently down to earth, and an Biplane, which is looks like you can fire yarn projectiles.
A mini-game type area where you can fire your eggs at fruits will appear which is reminiscent of Yoshi’s Story on the N64. Bubbles also appear, which could be used as platforms or obstacles. Another little detail are the Shy Guy’s wielding yarn bombs, which could be grabbed and thrown.
The biggest reveal from these screenshots is that Yoshi’s Woolly World will have a 3D Hub World to choose stages. It takes place in Co-op but it will most likely be set up like that for Single Player as well. This also tells us that Stage 1 will be the green world that has been the most shown off and Stage 2 will be set in a lava world including a volcano.
Yoshi’s Woolly World is set to be one of the cutest adventures for the green dino and should release sometime this year for the Wii U.
