Earlier this week, Amazon France leaked out a listing for a PS4 bundle together with The Last of Us Remastered, which essentially confirmed its existence at that moment. Well now Sony have officially announced the bundle, not that it was any big surprise, along with a price of €429.99, which is around £345. Note the price is in Euros because, so far at least, this new bundle has only been announced for Europe, there’s no current news on a US release. The bundle includes, as you might expect, a 500GB PS4, a Dual Shock 4 controller and a copy of the game.
Sony recently reduced the price of The Last of Us Remastered too, by $10 dollars, or £5-£6 over here in England. There’s still no information on whether it will offered cheaper to those who already bought the game on the PS3 but with the release not too far away now, it seems pretty unlikely that it’ll happen.
The Remastered version will run at full 1080p graphics and will feature many upgrades on the previous version including higher resolution character models, increased draw distance, improved lighting and shadows and updated textures. It also features all DLC content, directors commentary and interviews with both Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson, who of course played Joel and Ellie. Pre-ordering the game will give you access to an extra set of goodies but there’s no details on whether these extras will be included in the PS4 bundled version.
The Last of Us Remastered will release across Europe on the 29th of July, though here in England we’ll have to wait a little bit longer till the 1st of August. The PS4 bundle will presumably launch at around the same time.
